The Cafaggiolo Castle
nestled in the Tuscan hillside 15 miles north of Firenze, is the
ancestral home of the Medici Family, the rulers of
Firenze. Lorenzo the Magnificent
was raised as child at the castle, and later held court there for
the leading minds and artists of the Renaissance. The castle itself
can lodge up to 30 to 50 people, and easily serve 300 or more people
in its spacious dining rooms.
The surrounding grounds have traditionally hosted ceremonial festivals
and parties, since the time of the Medici, up to 2000 or more people.
If you have never lodged in a castle, now you will know how it felt
to live as a member of royalty, just like the Medici Family!!!
